Wild Fire 125 & Legend Madness are next at Mission Valley Super Oval

One of the most anticipated events of the 2024 season is set to take place Saturday August 3rd, 2024. The running of the Wild Fire 125 & Legend Madness on the same evening of racing is sure to entertain all that attend. Coming off the most competitive MT200 held at Mission Valley Super Oval the track looks to build off the early season momentum by hosting the Montana Big 5 Super Series and the INEX Legends for the INEX National Qualifying event.

The track has seen continued growth since the Undem family has taken over the management and promotional responsibilities. That growth accelerated quickly over the off-season when Travis Sharpe, owner operator Racing Dynamiks proposed the creation of the Montana Big 5 Super Series featuring the Super Late Model Division to bolster the local car count and improve the quality of cars racing at Mission Valley Super Oval. This has been a resounding success with the first 3 races averaging 22 cars per event and 29 entries for the MT200.

Looking to build off of that success Travis has teamed up with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Jesse Love to compete at this years Wild Fire 125 Super Late Model Race. Jesse has 1 win, 5 top 5's, 9 top 10's with 3 Pole Awards as a Rookie this year in the Xfinity Series. "We are very fortunate to have that level of talent coming to our track." said track promoter Tony Undem. This race is expected to bring teams from all over the Western US and Canada. Looking to build off of the success they shared together at Bill Mcanally Racing, both Jesse & Travis are excited for the challenge in front of them. When asked about the upcoming weekend Travis's excitement was visibly hard to contain. "Oh man! I have been looking forward to this event all year. Having Jesse in a Racing Dynamiks car has been a dream of mine since we worked together at BMR." he continued, "Jesse is like a son to me, so I have really enjoyed watching his success as he progressed through the NASCAR ranks and I really appreciate him taking his week off to come race here in Montana."

Jesse will need to adapt quickly to the unique 3/8 mile tri-oval to find success. Current point leader, track record holder and Montana native Alex Lessor has his sights on his second Big 5 series victory of 2024 along with, Canada's Tyler Emond, and Washington State's Garrett Sawyer & Jason Jefferson, who is coming off of his Montana 200 victory.

Legend Madness is also sure to be a great race. This season local race supporter and businessman Tim Smith with Diamond S Trailer Repair stepped up to heighten the stakes for this years Legend Madness race. With the increased purse Tony felt it was important to turn the event into an INEX National Qualifier event to spur the growth of this race. This is sure to attract much of the top legend talent in the region.

This event will be held Saturday August 3rd with qualifying beginning at 6:00pm and racing set to begin at 7:00 pm MST. Spectator gates open at 5:00pm and the pits are open to competitors at 11:00am the morning of the race. Please visit www.MissionValleySuperOval.com for additional information.
